Whoa Be Doh!
What a whirlwind the past two months have been!
The life of a ducky--- Rubber ducks often have interesting lives, sometimes all is ducky, other times it's more like a frog (froggy). I guess you could say my ducky life turned froggy for a while.
I went to the rubber duck doctor for my usual checkup. He thought I needed to take a stress test, so I got on the river paddler machine (the rubber duck equivalent of a treadmil for you land lovers) and paddled away. I thought I was paddling to my hearts content, but all was not ducky--- my heart wasn't content and the next thing I knew they were wheeling me to the operating room.
It appears there's been too much rubber in my diet and that's not very ducky. For rubber ducks, when the food is easy to eat it often makes them hard inside-- ultimately leading to spotted quack disease. It's too complicated to go into the details of spotted quack, but let me tell you, it sounds scary.
So, I had a thorough cleaning out inside and now am on a reduced-rubber diet. Oh well. My days of quacking to my hearts content at a pile of rubber ducklings are gone-- or at least not routine any more.
With luck, I"ll be back to 100% rubber ducky soon and able to complete my CD--- hopefully in time for this years Christmas season!
More later...
Have a quacker,
Norma
